A Russian woman recently died, incredibly and tragically, after
suffering a heart attack brought on by the utter shock of waking up at
her own funeral.
Fagilyu Mukhametzyanov, 49, had been mistakenly declared dead by
doctors.
She later woke up in a coffin surrounded by sobbing relatives, at which
point she began screaming at the realization that she was about to be
buried alive.
Mukhametzyanov, a resident of Kazan, was rushed back to the hospital
where she was declared dead a second time.
This time, it was
sadly legitimate.
Her husband, Fagili Mukhametzyanov, was distraught and stunned.
"Her eyes fluttered and we immediately rushed her back to the hospital
but she only lived for another 12 minutes," he recalled in the
aftermath.
He told The Sun (UK) that he plans to sue the Kazan hospital.
"I am very angry and want answers," Fagili said. "She wasn't dead when they said she was and they could have saved her life."
A spokesman at the hospital said officials are investigating.
